9/23/09: Done. Website overhaul done. It's highly probable that there is a broken link somewhere. Please report it if you find it. Blogs are becoming more numerous and things are rolling.
9/19/09: Holy sweet good God!! Finally figured out how to make a respectable looking website. It just took dogged persistence. It feels like I just climbed a mountain. Except I don't think my eyes would hurt this bad after a hike. Need break.
9/13/09: The company just got some new business cards ordered. They are slick. Quite possibly collector's items. New blog, review and video up! Also, a lot of bright sun-shiny things in the near future.
8/28/09: But if I had the time... blogs would abound, I would actually get to watch lots of movies... and then review them. But August became 'make my long-time project a reality' month. In the next day or so, the first video for Kingdom Come, my TV project will be online. Check her out, she adores attention. There will be more to come. Soon.
8/5/09: I'm making the molds for my TV-show characters and everything I own is slowly getting covered in a white powder. Lyme is also slowly eating away at my skin. There is no clean way to do this thing. Guaranteed, there will be a video by the end of August. New reivew for Transformers up as well as a splendidly informational blog. Cheers!
7/16/09: Just returned from a good old-fashioned American road trip around the western United States and some of the best National Parks in the area. It was good to get away for a bit, but now NT is back in full swing!
6/11/09: Someone's finally done it. Someone made a horror film and put the words Rest in Pieces on the poster (The Final Destination). And it had to be a film that a studio threw truckloads of money at. I don't know whether to feel hopeful about my prospects of working in the industry if there are people with that kind of brainpower in positions of influence or completely depressed that only morons seem to break in. New review up!
6/4/09: Currently hooked on Breaking Bad and Corn dogs. New viral spot for Doritos up in the films section.
5/27/09: It's been a long time coming, but there is finally a film of my own creation up in the films page: The Renaissance's Hotel. A short viral marketing spot for the hotel chain. Another one (animated!) for Doritos coming within the week!
5/24/09: New, and excellent terminator review up. I'm currently working on 3 films. One is finished, and I think I will wait until the 8th of June to put all of them on Youtube. In other news, Dan has disappeared! Carmen San Diego style. He could be in NY... he could be in Buenos Aires. Prizes to those who find out!
5/17/09: New Star Trek review up. New video projects coming soon. We're trying to think of a way to better organize the reviews section. My idea is to have the ten most recent on the left side of the page in normal size with the rest smaller on the right... any thoughts? I've also noticed that I'm getting random hits from people searching for sharecroppers. Glad to have you!
5/7/09: Excellent review up for Wolverine in the movie reviews section. Dan and I are also making a concerted effort to add new content regularly here. I am also embroiled in a series of new projects that should be finished and available to the public by the middle or end of June. Will be excellent.
5/1/09: I was wasting time at work on my youtube account today, checking out sites linking in to my videos. There are practically none, but one of note was an Itialian blog heralding 'protagonist pornstars.' First video on the page: my claymation villagers sequence from Five Flux. Awesome.
4/26/09: I need to watch more bad movies. It's sad that I have to actively seek them out and waste my time and money on them, but while I was updating the site today, I reread some of my reviews, and the better ones are clearly for the more terrible films. So, like a loving father, for your enjoyment, I will sacrifice my own. If I were to choose my top 3 reviews thus far, they would be: 1. Spiderman 3, 2. My Blueberry Nights, and 3. The Happening. But they're all good.
4/25/09: NT.com is back with a bit of a revamp. Not much, because I don't know much about web design, but it still looks classy to me. The pictures on the new home page are of sharecroppers and their tenant homes, taken by a distant relative of mine on an old brownie camera. Not sure of the era, I'll have to ask... New content will be coming on a much regular basis now because I've decided to quit my worthless job. Dan and I have some new things planned and We also have some new content in the reviews and blog section. Read it up!
3/19/09: Not much news. Making armatures for my stop motion project is a painstaking filthy and expensive process. Any and all reasons why the website has been in a lull of inactivity can be blamed solely upon Dan.
12/23/08: Merry Christmas folks! I got back to the paradise of San Diego about a month and a half ago and hit the ground running with everything except for this website. But Dan and I have many vainglorious things planned for it. Stay tuned!
7/14/08: I'm back! Hopefully on a regular basis now. I will also be back in the land of the free November 1st. I'm very much looking forward to it. Berlin and Germany have been beyond beautiful, but I'm ready to get back to my equipment and start working on what my soul truly yearns for. Old friends and family will be ncie too.
4/27/08: Still living in Germany. The sun has finally come out and things are finally looking not dead outside. I've entered the refining stage of the animated show and should be looking for financing soon. I hope.
3/23/08: Well, the news is that there is no news. I found a high resolution, full-screen version of Pac-man online and it has taken over my life. Otherwise the animated show is coming along unbelievably well. Some viral videos have been put together, but visuals are still a long way off due to financial and geographical constraints.
2/18/08: Finally got my reel for '08 put together. It should be posted to the films section in no time. The movie reviews page should be coming back to life soon. Dan even has some contributions to throw in that he has been touting for a while.
2/4/08: My Butterfinger video reached 1,000 views on youtube today! Which in the grand scheme of things equals 0, but that's still a good number of zeros!
1/29/08: The German Beauracracy is the most complicated and clumsy thing ever given form. Four months, 3 ISPs and over 100 euros in cell phone costs to call centers in order to speak with people who it would be a crime to refer to as "customer-service" representatives later and I finally have an internet connection. At least this period of darkness has brought much forward momentum in the way of the TV project. Still kicking it in Germany and still no prospects for any sort of actual filming in the near future. Had to spend all my cash on obtaining internet.
9/22/07: Currently writing a TV based project. I would like to make another short in the near future, but I live in a small German town now and the chances of getting the funding for one is pretty slim.
9/11/07: Five Flux is done. There are DVD copies. If you're interested, e-mail me at steven@nottriangles.com. I (Steven) now live overseas in Germany and I'm working on something. In the meanwhile, before it is unveiled, I thought I would toy around with some other things. The site's appearance won't change, because honestly, I don't know how to change it. However, things will be added while others are removed.
6/24/07: For want of an update... Everything is in motion; Five Flux is testing for DVD release, the Heinz project is moving from pre-production to production and is guaranteed to rock some faces. Other things are happening too.
5/29/07: Five Flux is circa 2 weeks from completion. Lots of tracks coming in from the composer that sound brilliant. Literature from Sean Lewis finally up in the corresponding area of the site. New movie reviews too.
5/21/07: New video "Flower Girl's Last Stand" is now up in the films area. Back to work on Five Flux.
5/16/07: I somehow got spam mailed an e-mail about a "movie spoof" competition through the MTV movie awards about 14 days ago. I had been occupying all of my time for the past month cooped up creating the sets for the Five Flux claymation sequence and decided that my imagination needed a change of pace. Plus, mobifest and Butterfinger put the taste of corporate success in my mouth and it didn't taste as bad as I thought it would. So over the past 14 days I made a claymation spoof of x-men 3. It'll be posted tomorrow once Mr. Flenniken finalizes the score. As far as I know concerning Butterfinger, they've left me behind. Oh, well... Heinz Ketchup is offering a commercial prize...
4-13-07 - Check out www.mobifest.net. That's the people that hosted the Animation Show competition that I won. Also check out www.theanimationshow.com those guys have some great animation news that they update regularly. Plus news about the mobifest competition! New content added to reviews and about. New writer Sean Lewis' work should be up on the site in the near future.
4-4-07 - I finally put together a youtube page and got video up on the site!
4-3-07 - Well, I won my first film award. I made a commercial for Butterfinger's viral video campaign and they gave me free Butterfinger's for a year!! Some other stuff too. The video will be up on myspace tomorrow. Dan and I's review section is back up. First piece of literature is up... lot's more to come!
3-28-07 - Five Flux is almost done. I've got a 2 minute claymation sequence left and this project will finally be behind me. Maybe one more month? I'm getting some great stuff from my composer, Brian Flenniken, too. I'm getting close and I'm getting excited. Another project has occurred in the meanwhile, I'll post more about it in a week.
2-8-07 - I'm looking for a song to make a music video to... I'm hoping to do a music video for my next project after Five Flux and I'm looking for a deserving band with some good music. If you got it, let me know.
2-4-07 - nottriangles.com is up and running! I was waiting to do this until my new short film was near completion, so I'm stoked to be back at this websiting business after a long hiatus. There is a lot in the mix for this small corner of the web, so check back often!
