The reviews I read of the film all pretty much said the same thing, 'I didn't think it was any good, but I'm sure you all will still like it.' I consider myself a feet-on-the-ground commoner, so I gave the reviewers on my computer screen a stiff finger and didn't change my resolve to see the film.

Ultimately, I like it. But it is nowhere near the calibur of the first. The only reason for that is because every single character in every single scene is bickering with every other character in the film. I am not overstating that for dramatic effect at all. All they do is complain or attempt to place themselves in the right for whatever is happening. It was like a bad relationship. Scarlett Johanson as The Black Widow was the only one who didn't participate. And her fight scenes were too cool. All the action was beautifully choreographed and the special effects were so superb that it was hard to tell them apart from the rest.

I recommend seeing the film in theatres, but just expect a good action film, not a genre definer like the first. If every minute of the film felt less like a domestic quarrel, then it could have really succeeded.
